The School In The Community

We believe that our school should be at the centre of its community. With that in mind, every year group seeks to develop links with various groups in and around our locality, and further afield. Some of the groups we have linked with most recently are:

  • Donaghadee Library

  • Emergency services (Police, Ambulance Service, Fire Service, Coastguard)

  • Post Office

  • Donaghadee Historical Society

  • Ulster Scots Agency

  • The Rotary Club

  • Donaghadee Sailing Club

  • RNLI

  • Local garden centres

  • Local residential care homes

  • Youth for Christ

  • Live Here Love Here

  • Ulster in Bloom

We believe these experiences, and many more, enrich the children’s experiences beyond the classroom.

​

We also have positive links with many of the local churches and ministers or pastors will regularly come and speak to the children in Assembly.
