Homework

We regard homework as a very important part of the school programme.  It helps reinforce what has been learned in class, encourages independent work, helps develop motivation and gives parents an insight into their children’s learning.

Parents are encouraged to show interest in and support the children’s homework programme by asking questions, sharing reading and ensuring good presentation of written work.  Finding a quiet place, ensuring appropriate time to do homework and praising good effort are important factors in helping children.

A weekly e-learning homework is timetabled as a direct response to our parent questionnaires, and this supports our curriculum through digital learning.  Digital platforms may include 3 P Reading Eggs, Mathletics and C2K NewsDesk.
