Following a fundraising event the Committee discuss with Mr Barr what the money should be spent on. Sometimes this will be for resources to improve a particular area of the curriculum or school environment or will be based on requests by the children.
The PTA funds are spent on the 'extras' that are not provided for by the school budget, thus enhancing our children's learning experiences. PTA funds are generally not spent on improving the school building itself, as this is the responsibility of the School Governing Body.
As the money we raise is usually spent fairly quickly, you can be sure that your child/ren will benefit directly.
Over the years the PTA has supplied the school with a long list of items.....
All of these have been purchased to enhance your child's learning and the teachers really appreciate the benefits they bring.
