Both Year 4 classes have had a fabulous Healthy Living Week.
All the children had extra PE sessions, brought in healthy snacks, enjoyed some really tasty fruit from a platter and found out what eating a balanced diet means.

We have lots of exciting things planned. We will be starting our new topic 'World War 2'. We will be finding out about evacuees, rationing, digging for victory, Home Front, the Blitz and lots more.....
We will be dressing up as evacuees and heading to Castle Ward to find out about life as a child during WW2.

This term we will learning about 'Celebrations'. We will be finding out about Christmas in the past and Christmas today.
We have many fun activities planned for 'ABL' We will be designing invitations, making party hats, wrapping Christmas presents, playing board games. decorating biscuits and playing in the party shop!
We will also visiting Mount Stewart to find out about Christmas during the 1950s.
So much fun!
Both P4 classes have been looking at Autumn leaves. They have been sketching, drawing and painting leaves. They will also be writing poems about Autumn and making and designing clay leaves.
The children had great fun going outside and throwing the leaves into the air.

Already children are enjoying our topic 'The Real Me'. We will be learning about all the important organs of the body and how our senses work. We will be taking part in science investigations - tasting and smelling experiments!
During ABL the children will playing in the hospital, using Bee-Bot on the ipad, Lego building and using 2D shapes to draw pictures. We will also enjoy an Autumn walk to appreciate how we can use our senses.
